WAH-WAH x RAMESH jumper

SO excited to announce the first knitwear collaboration with  Ramesh Mario Nithiyendran AND WAH-WAH AUSTRALIA !

 “The chaotic, vibrant energy of Ramesh’s art vibrates on a similar wavelength to WAH-WAH’s aesthetic, so it seemed inevitable that we were drawn to each other's work for this collaboration. From a technical standpoint, designing for knitwear can be limiting, but those limitations forced me to rethink how to construct a standard sweater to reflect Ramesh’s work” - Kaylene of WAH-WAH

The sweater features inverted seams which are placed at the front and back. This feel of opposing designs grafted together mimics the multi-sided figures that feature in Ramesh’s paintings and sculptures. The totemic heads stacked along the limbs of the sweater and trackpants are based on Ramesh’s sculptures, but reinterpreted with WAH-WAH’s graphic style.

Details: 100% superfine merino wool. Knitted in China with Australian superfine merino wool. 

Care: Turn your wool garment inside out, then hand wash in clean, lukewarm water, approximately 30°C, using a mild and gentle detergent. Allow to soak for a period of 10 minutes before rinsing thoroughly firstly in lukewarm water, then finally in cold water. Dry flat in shade. Do not tumble dry. Warm iron. Dry Cleanable.

WAH-WAH sizing is unisex and the measurements above reflect the garment measurements in cm. We recommend measuring from underarm to underarm of a jumper (sweater) that you like the fit of, and choosing the nearest corresponding size. Keep in mind that the knitted superfine merino wool is pretty stretchy and forgiving, so there is a bit of leeway with sizing. Refer to the sizing chart in the images for measurements.

Ramesh wears a size XL, Kirthana and Remy wear size large, and Julie wears a size medium.
